You perfectly described every emotion I’ve had since my “betrayal” occurred, including feeling like a toad that I wasn’t living up to the Christian ideal, forgiving him as an act of will (because I know I’m supposed to), but not really “feeling” it yet, and concluding that “Vengeance is mine…” is going to be the ultimate salve for me in all this.
